Federal Lawmaker, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria for marking another Eid-el-Kabir, a very important celebration in the Islamic faith
Akande-Sadipe, who represents Oluyole Federal Constituency in a message, said the festivity provides a special opportunity for Muslims to reflect on their faith and also reach out to people of other faiths and humanity at large.
She said Eid al-Adha, is known as the Festival of Sacrifice; a time of profound reflection, compassion, and unity.
Hon. Akande-Sadipe who Chairs the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges appealed to Nigeraians to emulate Prophet Ibrahim, urging them to embrace the values of sacrifice, charity, and faith that the holy day represents.
In the spirit of Eid al-Adha, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all my Muslim brothers and sisters as we celebrate this auspicious occasion. Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a time of profound reflection, compassion, and unity.
“As we commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command, let us also embrace the values of sacrifice, charity, and faith that this holy day represents”, she said.
“I pray that this Eid brings abundant wealth, good health, and countless blessings to all. May your homes be filled with joy, your hearts with peace, and your lives with prosperity. Let us use this time to strengthen our bonds of unity and extend our hands to those in need, ensuring that the spirit of Eid reaches every corner of our community.”
